David Avant David Avant, 57, construction worker, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away November 13, 2012. Funeral services were held at Independent - Tyro M.B. Church in Senatobia Saturday, November 17 at 12 noon. Burial followed at Independent - Tyro M.B. Church Cemetery in Senatobia. He is survived by his mother Ether Jones of Senatobia; sisters, Florence Jones of Senatobia, Cora Jones of Senatobia, Alice Jones of Memphis, Tenn., and Vuanita McArthur of Memphis, Tenn.; and brothers, Kenya Jones of Senatobia, Willie Jones of Como, Cleveland Jones Jr. of Senatobia, Jimmy Jones of Houston, Texas, and Jessie Jones of Houston, Miss. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements. Virginia M. Beavers Virginia M. Beavers, 69, of Sardis, Miss., passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Sardis Community Nursing Home in Sardis, MS. Mrs. Beavers was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Sardis, MS. She is survived by one daughter, Betty B. Johnson (Jeff) of Sardis; one son, William D. Beavers of Sardis; and two sisters, Lois Waldrip of Cordova, Tenn. and Juanita Richardson (Kenneth) of Eads, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby T. Beavers. Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Kirby T. Brubaker Kirby T. Brubaker, 85, of Senatobia, Miss., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Kirby was a member of McLemore Christian Church in Memphis, Tenn. and worked for AT&T for 34 years and had been retired for 31 years. He also was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Camping Club, an avid coin collector and enjoyed woodwork and yard work. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Brubaker of Senatobia; one daughter, Linda White of Senatobia; two sons, Tim Brubaker (Rhonda) of Covington, Ga. and Dickie Brubaker (Nancy) of Covington, Ga.; one brother, Tolbert Brubaker of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. James Eddie Coppage James Eddie Coppage, 59, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away November 9, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss. Services were held Saturday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Thyatira Church of Christ Life Center. Burial followed in Lewers Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Coppage was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the Marine Corp. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Thomas and Tamekia Jammie Coppage, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; son, James Coppage, Jr. of Pittsburgh; stepson, Greg Allred of Pittsburgh; mother, Gladys Coppage of Senatobia; sisters, Sarah Garner of Michigan City, Ind., Beverly Shead, Bertha Coppage, Glorie Porter, and Helen Harris, all of Senatobia; brother, Williams Sledge of South Haven, Mich.; and seven grandchildren. Brenda Lynn Hurt Grady Brenda Lynn Hurt Grady, 72, of Southaven, Miss., died November 10, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. She was a bookkeeper for Western Auto Company, and was a member of Greenleaf Methodist Church. Services were held Tuesday, November 13 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando. Burial followed in Cockrum Cemetery in Cockrum. She leaves her husband, William J. Grady; a son, David Grady of Columbus; a daughter, Kay Sigler of Wyatte; three sisters, Vanessa Lynchard of Hernando, Beverly Murphree of Mountain View, Ark. and Gatha Hurt of Senatobia; two grandchildren, Jackson Grady and Jimmy Sigler. She was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Hurt. Fed Edward Howell Fed Edward Howell, 92, retired tree planter, of Independence, Miss., passed away November 11, 2012. Funeral services were held at Hopewell M.B. Church in Independence Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Burial followed in Hopewell Church Cemetery in Independence. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Howell; a daughter, Annie Davis of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Danny Rucker of Independence; and two grandchildren. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements.
