Bessie Mae Eppenger
Bessie Mae Eppenger, 69, factory worker, of Sarah, Miss., passed away February 1, 2013. Funeral services were held February 9 at 12 noon at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Askew Grove MB Church Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral had charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Maxine E. Craig of Arlington, Tenn. and Jennette E. Jackson of Como; two sisters, Doveanna Palmer, Buffalo, N.Y. and Dorothy Holt of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, L.D. Eppenger, Howard Eppenger, Hal Eppenger, and Melvin Eppenger all of Longtown; four grandchildren, Ernest D. Jackson, Jr. of Como, Lataisha M. Jackson of Como, Johnnie L. Clark Jr. of Tuscan, Ariz., and Karissa A. Craig of Arlington, Tenn.
Patricia Ann Freeman
Patricia Ann Freeman, 51 of Sarah, Miss., passed away January 31, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Lee Duckworth of Southaven; son, Justin Greene Freeman of Como; sisters, Bobbie Jean Floyd of Sarah, Barbara Lila Brownlee of Sardis and Robbie Marie Parrish of Sardis; brother, Richard Lowell Gayden of Hernando; and two grandsons.
Eugene Laverne Greenwood
Eugene Laverne Greenwood, 89, of Sarah, Miss., passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Ruth Greenwood; one stepdaughter, Angela Michelle Herring (Ken); two stepsons, Ronnie Bradley (Sandy); Grover Charles Bradley; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He retired as a production worker for American Can Company. He served his country as a Seaman in WWII.
Funeral services were held January 29 at Forest Hill Funeral Home - Midtown where he was honored by a unit of the US Navy Honor Guard.
James C. Jackson
James C. Jackson, 97, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
Funeral services were held at Ludlam Funeral Home at 12 noon on February 2. Burial followed in Glendale Cemetery in Glen, Miss.
He is survived by a son, Donald R. Jackson and wife, Grace of Senatobia; a daughter, Joyce Lablont and husband, Rick of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Elsie Embrey Morgan
Elsie Embrey Morgan, 77, retired seamstress for William Carter Company, died February 5, 2013 at Senatobia Convalescent Center. Funeral services were held February 8 at Greenleaf United Methodist Church. Burial was in Greenleaf Cemetery.
She leaves three daughters, Jackie Morgan Hall of Independence, Janie Dhority of Coldwater, and Connie Morgan Belk of Sarah; two sons, William Lyn Morgan of Sardis and Ronald W. Morgan of Arkabutla; three sisters, Robbie Chatman of Nesbit, Lois Brakefield of Arkabutla and Julia Frances Respess of Horn Lake; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando had charge of the arrangements.
Bernie T. O'Bryan
Bernie T. O'Bryan, 88, of Coldwater, Miss., a retired letter carrier, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
He was a Baptist, a musician and a WW II Army veteran.
Mr. O'Bryan was preceded in death by his wife, Velma O'Bryan.
He is survived by his son, Barry O'Bryan (Donna) of Coldwater; granddaughter, Shannon O'Bryan and a brother, Aubrey O'Bryan of Memphis.
Services were held graveside at 2 p.m., Monday, February 11, at Forest Hill East Cemetery.
Forest Hill East had charge of the services.
Mary Gladys Brooks Tomlinson
Mary Gladys Brooks Tomlinson, age 99, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Garland, Texas, where she has lived for the past nine years.
She was born on December 6, 1913 in Burnsville, Miss. to Thomas Martin and Nelle Kathryn Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 47 years, T. R. (Tommy) Tomlinson, son, T. Ray Tomlinson, and daughter, Kathryn Jane Tomlinson.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Nell Robbs and husband Robert of Garland, Texas, three grandchildren, Ann Marie Zettergren and husband Jeff of Senatobia, Reed Tomlinson of Little Rock, Ark., and Briley Tomlinson and wife Allison of Senatobia. Gladys leaves seven great grandchildren, Josh, Jessica and Thomas Allen Zettergren, Vivian and Corinne Tomlinson, and Mary Brooks and Caroline Tomlinson. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Gail S. Tomlinson of Senatobia.
Gladys and Tommy moved from Corinth, Miss. to Jackson in 1940. They became members of the Central Church of Christ, and then charter members of Belvedere Church of Christ where Tommy served as an elder until his death in 1983. Gladys continued her faithful service to the church after the move in 1990 to the current Siwell Road Church of Christ. Gladys' final church home was Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas. Gladys was baptized at age 17 and spent her life in service for the Lord, faithfully and continuously ministering to her family, friends, and neighbors.
She was a dedicated homemaker and Bible school-teacher. She loved music, especially the piano, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and gardening vegetables and flowers. Cooking was one of her favorite activities and special gifts.
She was able to minister to, as well as encourage, countless numbers of people by taking food to them in times of need. Gladys and Tommy loved to extend hospitality in their home, and she continued to enjoy doing so through her years of living alone in Jackson.
A memorial service to remember Gladys was held on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson.
Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jackquline R. Williamson
Jackquline R. Williamson, 43, cook, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away February 2, 2013. Funeral services were held at New Zion M.B. Church in Senatobia February 9, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Springfield MB Church cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by a daughter, Carlaton R. Williamson of Senatobia; two sons, Cameron C. Williamson and Andre D. Ashford, both of Senatobia; three sisters, Bobbie T. Mallory of Senatobia, Angela Williamson-Stewart of Ridgeland, and Terra L. Williamson of Senatobia; a brother, Jimmy Lee Golden of Senatobia; and four grandchildren.
